After the announcement in the House of Commons on Tuesday the 23rd of June by the Prime Minister that only Hairdressers and Barbers could return to work on the 4th July in England, there has understandably been plenty of frustration and confusion from our members and the industry at large over the reasons behind these decisions and when beauty will be able to return to work.
Today we have published and sent an open letter to government on behalf of our members requesting further clarity on these concerns. This letter has been sent to both Alok Sharma, The Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industry Strategy and also directly to the Prime Minister.
Additional letters will be sent to relevant devolved nations too.
